"As an F2 driver going through my own recovery process, I’m very aware of the mental and physical struggles many service members and veterans face,” said Correa. "I can’t thank Lefty enough for taking the time to work with me on this amazing project, which will ultimately give back to Forever Warriors, an organization and cause I’m extremely passionate about.”

Correa is currently in the midst of a his own comeback following an accident at the 2019 Spa-Francorchamps Formula 2 round, which left him in a coma for two weeks. His friend and fellow F2 racing driver Anthoine Hubert was also involved, but unfortunately died following the accident.

“Most recently, my inspiration has been my drive for experimentation. I am constantly pushing my boundaries by trying new mediums and products,” said Lefty. “That said, after meeting JM and hearing his story, and everything he has overcome, collaborating with him on this was a natural next step. An honor, really.”

A self-taught artist, Lefty’s work was born on Chicago’s walls but has gained recognition by fine art galleries, interior designers, and fashion brands across the globe. His signature polymorphs are now at the forefront of virtual creativity and have spanned out across Europe, the US and Asia.

Correa is currently ranked 18 in the FIA F2 series making headway to climb back to the top and will be racing in the eighth round in Spielberg, Austria starting June 29. Additionally, Correa will be the only F2 driver also competing in the 100th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an endurance-focused sportscar race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France.
